Colour printing on a black t shirt

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Well, we get asked this so many times!
I guess it’s hard to explain how long it actually takes to get your design onto a shirt and of course why it appears to cost quite a lot, especially when you want lots of colours on a small amount of shirts.
I found this video on you tube which explains the separation process quite well, to anyone who’s interested please click this link it is quite informative!

Separation for Screen Print

This video is not associated with me or our site, we just found it interesting.

Small Print Runs

Many times a day we are asked this question, what is your minimum quantity.

We no longer offer a ‘one off’ print service, despite having the equipment that is able to do it. This is something we found was consistently losing us money, as you must appreciate we have to earn a set amount per hour to pay our bills. We would have to charge around £30 for a one off shirt for it to be worthwhile, this we realise is excessive and we feel the walk in town centre stores can offer this service better than we can.

We try and suggest a minimum of around 12 on transfers and 24 on screen printing, these are the quantities that allow us to offer you the most competitive prices.

We will however do quantities as low as six, but still feel it is in the buyers’ interest to buy more in order to reduce the unit cost.
